Lance Gardner, Marin Theatre’s new Artistic Director, an actor and producer who appeared in six shows on the Marin stage and numerous others throughout the Bay Area, will tell us about his ambitious first season of five plays, including two U.S. premieres. He will provide his perspective about the challenges faced by American theaters navigating in a new landscape. Professional regional theaters like Marin Theatre in Mill Valley culturally enrich communities and bolster local economies, but the industry has experienced a lagging recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
