Exciting Work at the Marine Mammal Center

Learn about the largest marine mammal hospital in the world!

The Marine Mammal Center is the largest marine mammal hospital in the world! And it’s in our own backyard in the Marin Headlands! The center, a repurposed Nike missile silo, relies on over 1,200 volunteers and 60 staff to advance global ocean conservation through marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation, scientific research and public education. Come hear Mitch Fong, animal care volunteer extraordinaire, tell the story of the center, the exciting work happening there and plans for the future at 1pm on Thursday, March 1, at the Outdoor Art Club, One West Blithedale, Mill Valley, 94941. Please tell a friend and bring a friend to this FREE Public Event. No tickets are required. Light refreshments will be served.
